CHARLES BROCKBANK
CONTEMPORARY CIRCUS | JUGGLING
Technique and exploration for physical performers

THE WORKSHOP
Juggling is the manipulation of objects, through shape, rhythm and space. In this workshop we will look at the interaction of bodies and objects, gaining foundational skills and physical research tools. We will learn the techniques of throwing and catching, play together and create choreography. This is a fun opportunity to come and learn a unique skill, taught by a leading practitioner from the world of contemporary circus.

THE GUEST ARTIST
Charles Brockbank is a circus practitioner who has been juggling for two decades. He taught juggling at the renowned circus school Circomedia in Bristol for many years, teaching across their courses, from the BTEC to their masters programme, and teaches masterclasses and workshops at various events. His performance work has taken him to international arts festivals including CIRCa Circus Festival Auch, Edinburgh Fringe and Stockton International Riverside Festival. As well as devising his own solo circus theatre shows, he regularly collaborates with companies including Gandini Juggling, Cirque Bijou and Desperate Men.
