THE WORKSHOP
Step into the joyous, mischievous world of clowning, where pleasure, failure, and playfulness lead the way. This workshop invites creatives of all disciplines to unlock spontaneity, rediscover their sense of humour, and embrace the art of being serious about silliness. Through games and improvisation, you will explore clowning as an attitude rather than a character: a way of seeing, responding, and creating. Perfect for performers, devisers, writers, directors, and anyone hungry for boldness, truth, and play in their work.
THE GUEST ARTIST
Charlie Day is an actor/theatre-maker, an Associate Lecturer in Acting at BSU, and an all round show-off. His latest solo show, PARIS + JULIET, sold out its run in Los Angeles, earning nominations for Best Solo Show and Best International Show, and a spot on Stage Takes LA’s Top 10 of the Fringe. They are currently at work on an experimental poetry short film, Time Passes, and a two-person dark comedy, BABYFOOD.
