'HOME: BODY'
THE WORKSHOP

The workshop will offer a combination of Divija’s ongoing research around the stories our bodies carry, human connection, and ‘Home’. We will look at how our body is a home to many stories, and how one object/word can be perceived in multiple ways based on our lived experiences.
The workshop uses task based improvisations to explore its themes through movement and text, drawing on props and objects as prompts and incorporating gestural elements of Bharatanatyam (South Asian Classical Dance) to articulate the emerging narratives.
Contact and floorwork are completely optional throughout the workshop, and all participants are invited to explore only as far as they feel comfortable. All art forms are welcome.
