THE WORKSHOP

From iconic films such as John Wick to The Raid, knives hold a devastating and powerful position not only in popular media but also in practical combat scenarios. In this workshop, you will explore fundamental unarmed and knife techniques used to dramatically sell a fight. Exploring martial techniques, we will look at how you can trap, wrap, disarm, and disable your opponent with precision and control.

THE GUEST ARTIST

Russell is a fight director and instructor with the British Academy of Dramatic Combat (BADC) and has worked alongside various theatre companies in the southwest. Originally having trained as an actor, Russell believes that dramatic combat is an incredible tool. Not only for keeping a performer safe, but for gaining a deeper understanding of character and intention.
