JACQUIE ANDERSON
MOVEMENT & DRAWING
THE WORKSHOP
Using the body as a starting point I want to provide a space that allows participants to have their own creative input, create their own artwork and share their somatic life and experience. Workshops focus on how to document physicality, meaning and memory using, drawing and writing on paper.
Looking at the body as an archive of movement; a document of movement material and experience, struck me as something I wish to examine more closely. My body embodies my dance and movement experiences as well as other life experiences. As part of the workshop we will discuss the various thoughts and ideas that arise from this stimulus and use this as our starting point. We will then explore this through various movement and drawing tasks.
