SAILI KATEBE
MOVING & SPOKEN POETRY
THE ART OF RECKLESSNESS | FINDING YOUR VOICE
THE WORKSHOP

In this creative writing and movement workshop led by Saili Katebe we will exploring the musicality of language and the body in motion.
We will experiment with poetic devices such as rhythm, imagery, repetition, and sound. Through playful prompts and guided exercises, participants will develop short poetic texts while discovering how language carries tone, texture, and pulse.
Alongside the writing, we will explore movement in response to the narratives and images that emerge. How does a poem shift when it is embodied? What happens when rhythm moves from the page into physical space? Through gentle improvisation and physical exploration, we will investigate how poetry can be spoken, shaped, and moved.
Open to all levels, this workshop centres on curiosity, experimentation, and creative freedom. No prior experience in writing or movement is required, only a willingness to explore.
